Simply Static
Check, start and read back a static export of the site, with Delta's private files kept out of the copy.
Simply Static exports the site as static HTML, to a ZIP, a folder, GitHub, Netlify or S3. The agent reads the export state and history, runs a check before an export, starts and cancels exports through Simply Static’s own REST API, and lists the URLs an export missed. Settings and deploy credentials stay on Simply Static’s screen.
Delta keeps its own private files, snapshots, jobs and seed records, out of the crawl, so a public export does not carry the site’s settings, rules and skills. While the site is behind Coming Soon, exports stay empty unless you switch on Let static exports through, because delivering an export publishes the site.
The agent also knows what a static copy loses: forms, search and anything behind a login. It tells you before it builds one of those for a site that is exported. Delta can install Simply Static. Needs version 3.8.18 or later.
Abilities this integration exposes
Simply Static publishes no abilities of its own, so these are Delta's. Each one runs through Simply Static's REST API.
simply-static-check
Checks the site before an export and names what would go wrong: Coming Soon on, a form or a search box the copy cannot serve, the 404 page off.
simply-static-export
Starts an export with your settings, after running the check. A push destination publishes the site, so the agent asks first.
simply-static-get-status
Reads whether an export runs, how far it is, and what the last export delivered.
simply-static-list-exports
Lists past exports, newest first, with their status, duration and counts.
simply-static-list-export-urls
Lists the URLs of an export, or the ones that did not make it into the copy, with the reason.
simply-static-cancel-export
Stops the export that is running.
