Every Delta release, newest first.

Latest

v0.4.2

28 October 2026

New features

  • An extra security layer, on by default: before your agent installs, activates, updates or deletes a plugin, or changes an account that runs your site, an administrator approves it under Delta → Approvals. You can turn it off under Context → Guardrails
  • The dashboard lists the rules, skills, notes and Memory your agent changed, so you can keep or undo each change. Your own version of a rule is never lost: an undo puts it back from the trash
  • The Front panel replaces images, featured images included, from your media library
  • The icon library offers Tabler 3.50.0 and Lucide 1.62.0

Improvements

  • The Front panel opens faster, shows that it is loading, and a second click cancels the open
  • The Map in the Front panel counts links made by loops, menus and the template that draws a page
  • Your agent asks where a user's posts and media go before deleting the user
  • A new admin email set by your agent waits for WordPress's confirmation email
  • Settings that hand out control of your site, such as Delta's guardrails, active plugins and the default role, stay yours to change in wp-admin
  • Coming Soon now also closes the WooCommerce store to visitors, and leaves its own page out of Simply Static exports
  • Fallback pages use your site's content width and spacing
  • simply-static-check names other static exporters' folders
  • All eleven bundled languages are fully translated
  • After updating, reload any tab with the Front panel open, and purge a CDN or page cache that serves logged-in pages
  • For developers: new filters 21press_delta_query_denied_types, 21press_delta_client_ip, 21press_delta_auth_failure_limit, 21press_delta_plugin_zip_hosts, 21press_delta_import_max_bytes and 21press_delta_coming_soon_ajax_gated. Values from 21press_delta_entry_placeholders no longer run shortcodes, Front panel tabs read location.href instead of page.pageUrl, and downloads use POST …/download-link

Fixes

  • An excerpt you write in wp-admin stays yours, formatting included, after your agent edits the page
  • Password-protected pages show the password form, laid out at your content width
  • The Front panel loads one copy of its script, so an update never leaves an old one running
  • The Map stays current when page HTML is removed or a template becomes the default
  • A Gravity form that will not save no longer retries on every page load
  • Smaller fixes to the Coming Soon page picker, Memory upgrades, uploads and simply-static-check
  • Security: field values and titles go into your pages as text, so shortcodes typed into them no longer run
  • Security: SVG files are cleaned on upload, and the ones already on your site are cleaned in the background after the update. Their colours stay, and each original is kept in a private folder
  • Security: your agent no longer reads or writes passwords, secrets, logins or roles through meta and options
  • Security: imports unpack only what a Delta pack holds, and Delta's private folders and your design notes are closed to the web
  • Security: agent connections have rate limits, safer sign-in redirects and one-time download links
  • Security: password-protected entries keep their fields hidden in lists
Latest

v0.4.0

24 October 2026

New features

  • JetEngine support: your agent works with JetEngine post types, fields, relations, queries and custom content types
  • Templates can list JetEngine queries, related items and custom content type items
  • WS Form support: your agent builds and edits WS Form forms, styled by your design system
  • SureRank and SEOPress support: your agent sets a page's SEO title and description as it writes the page
  • Pages built with Delta give SureRank and SEOPress a meta description from their own text
  • Redirection support: your agent manages redirects, and proposes one when a page's address changes
  • Simply Static support: your agent checks, starts and cancels static exports
  • Your agent can ask which template a page gets, and why
  • The Map in the Front panel has Page and Site tabs
  • Sketchbook boards show icons as pages do

Improvements

  • When two templates fit a page equally, the newer one wins, and editing a template no longer moves pages to it. Each page keeps its template on update
  • Your agent is told when templates tie, or when a template shows nowhere
  • A page's own excerpt now shows in archives, feeds and the REST API
  • The posts page uses its own title as the archive title
  • Gravity forms made by Delta now save checkbox and consent answers. Older forms are fixed on update
  • Archives load less block CSS
  • A broken block no longer stops the rest of the page, and your agent gets a warning
  • Every refusal tells your agent what to do next
  • Coming Soon can let static exports through, if you allow it
  • The default site.css no longer limits contrast sections to one a page
  • Automatic.css colours are set as hex values
  • For developers: WooCommerce's old ability aliases are removed (the eight shared ids stay). New filters 21press_delta_coming_soon_request_allowed and 21press_delta_design_switch_external_names

Fixes

  • Without a licence, every dashboard screen opens the licence screen
  • Import keeps posts and terms apart, and keeps author ids
  • Exports work on servers whose PHP lacks GLOB_BRACE
  • WooCommerce product loops show the right product, and attribute updates keep what is stored
  • Fluent Forms, WPForms and Ninja Forms forms keep their fields, ids and notifications when your agent updates them
  • Field maps say when what they read is gone
  • Smaller fixes to paging, meta key case, design tokens and select options
  • Security: a page's excerpt is escaped wherever WordPress prints it
  • Security: HTML field values are filtered for every visitor
  • Security: SEO plugins' own data stays out of general meta reads and writes
  • Security: Front panel requests need a logged-in session
Latest

v0.3.8

17 October 2026

New features

  • Pages built with Delta now show their content in the REST API and RSS feeds, so headless sites and feed readers no longer get a blank page
  • A Site Health check warns you if your server lets anyone download Delta's snapshot and export files
  • Onboarding asks which design system a new site will use before any page is built
  • Your agent has a ready map for moving a site to Automatic.css, and asks whether to keep your current look
  • Your agent sees which Automatic.css settings are still empty, and fills them before a switch
  • Your agent can filter design variables by name and by stylesheet

Improvements

  • Snapshots, restores, imports and exports keep running in the background, and carry on by themselves if a request stops
  • You can cancel an import while it runs
  • Switching entries in the Editor is smoother: the list stays in place and the editor shows a loader
  • Coming Soon still hides your content, but forms and webhooks now work while it is on
  • A switch to another design system cleans up dark mode and contrast values nothing uses. The snapshot keeps them
  • The switch preview lists every name that needs a new name
  • Header and footer content now lines up with page content in Delta's default templates
  • Pages use a clean sans-serif font when the design system sets none
  • Page excerpts read better: words stay apart and placeholders are left out
  • The Map shows all abilities as one node
  • For developers: new filters 21press_delta_coming_soon_rest_gated, 21press_delta_snapshot_tick_budget and 21press_delta_ie_tick_budget. Integrations list which of their abilities only read

Fixes

  • Line breaks in text fields are kept when your agent creates or updates an entry
  • Cancelling a snapshot no longer gets lost while a step runs
  • Delta's own stylesheets no longer go missing from the variable list
  • Export, import and restore keep a page's title and password as they were
  • Security: snapshot and export folders get names no one can guess, and Apache and LiteSpeed block downloads from them
  • Security: a read-only agent token runs another plugin's ability only when Delta knows it only reads
  • Security: Meta Box abilities that could show drafts and passwords are no longer offered to agents
Latest

v0.3.5

13 October 2026

New features

  • Sketchbook boards can now hold JavaScript, like a page, so you can try tabs, sliders and counters on a board. Only users allowed to write JavaScript can add it
  • A board's share link can run the board's scripts. This is off by default: turn on "Run scripts on share link" in the board's menu
  • A draft page made from a board keeps the board's JavaScript
  • Your agent can move a site to a plugin's design system, such as Automatic.css, in one step. It checks every name in use, takes a snapshot first, and renames the names in your styles, components and pages
  • Your agent now sees which design names are used on the site but have no value
  • The block editor has a plain base style: native posts and pages show in a readable sans-serif, with calmer buttons, quotes, code and tables. A plugin's own editor styles, such as Automatic.css, still come first

Improvements

  • Your agent can no longer switch to a plugin's design system in a way that leaves names without a value. It uses the one-step switch instead
  • A Delta ability and the SchemaWP ability that replaces it now share one switch on the Abilities page. Turn one off and both are off
  • All on and All off no longer change abilities that are hidden because their plugin is off
  • Scripts in a board now run in the Front panel for users who may write JavaScript. Before, boards ran no scripts
  • The general settings tools can no longer change Delta's own data. Your agent uses the tool made for the page, template, board or setting instead
  • Saving Automatic.css settings no longer takes a snapshot when there were no earlier settings to keep
  • The Front panel's Design tab lists each spacing step once, without the in-between sizes that Automatic.css adds
  • Tested with Automatic.css 4.0.1
  • The theme download is about 40% smaller. Code libraries it no longer uses and translation source files are gone
  • For developers: new filter 21press_delta_ability_switches, and an integration can list more than one plugin file. The theme no longer includes Guzzle, the OpenAI client or the Anthropic SDK

Fixes

  • The Integrations page shows the right installed version of Automatic.css 4.0.1, which installs to a new folder
  • Turning off SchemaWP's Agent Connection no longer turns back on an Automatic.css ability you had turned off
  • The Automatic.css status now tells you which SchemaWP switch controls it: Agent Connection
  • Security: three gaps are closed that needed a Delta user without JavaScript rights, as on a multisite. Board CSS is shown safely, Delta's own data is safe from the general settings tools, and older JavaScript comes back only for users who may write it
Latest

v0.3.0

10 October 2026

New features

  • Each integration now works through its plugin's own tools instead of copying them, so what you set in the plugin's own screens survives Delta's changes
  • Your agent can use the plugins' own tools through Delta: WooCommerce, WPForms, Secure Custom Fields, Meta Box, Ninja Forms, Fluent Forms and Gravity Forms
  • Delta adds its own tools for Contact Form 7, ACF, Custom Post Type UI, Pods, Meta Box and Forminator, which have none of their own
  • When your agent updates a form, content type or field group, it keeps fields you added in the plugin's editor. It removes them only when you ask it to replace everything
  • WooCommerce's own cart, checkout, mini cart and order confirmation blocks can be used in templates
  • Templates can show more WooCommerce details: cart and order rows, account pages added by extensions, and brand archives
  • Field maps now read values through ACF, Secure Custom Fields, Meta Box and Pods, and cover nearly every field type, including true/false, link, file, location, user and group
  • Field maps also cover ACF options pages, Meta Box settings pages, Pods settings and MB Relationships
  • Templates can loop over galleries, lists, repeaters and flexible content
  • Templates can show a block only when a field has a value
  • Your agent can save repeater and flexible content rows when it creates or updates a page
  • Header and footer templates can use loops
  • Front panel: a panel on your live site, opened from Delta in the admin bar or with ⌘⇧E. Visitors never load it
  • In the Front panel, click anything to read its HTML, CSS and JS, edit text in place, and reorder sections
  • Front panel tabs for the page's links, the design system and Memory
  • Sketchbook: boards where your agent tries ideas with the site's styles. The site does not change until you say so
  • Boards can be copied, renamed, shared with a read-only link, and turned into a draft page. Any change can be undone
  • Update website styles applies a board's style changes to the site. A snapshot is taken first, and Undo takes it back
  • Delta can be translated, and ships in Spanish, Japanese, German, French, Brazilian Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Russian, Polish, Turkish and Simplified Chinese
  • Your agent can move a site to Delta's current starter design system and keep what the site changed. A snapshot is taken first
  • Your agent now sees each form and field plugin's tools, the names your stylesheet adds, and which starter design system the site uses

Improvements

  • Pages load faster: field maps are read only when a page uses them
  • A field whose name WordPress reserves keeps working: it gets the post type in front of its name
  • Permission errors say which user and which permission is missing
  • Each integration brings its own skills and rules
  • Long text fields keep their line breaks. Add _raw to the field name for the old output
  • Field maps made by an earlier version stay as they are until you ask your agent to upgrade them
  • Field maps sync when you save a post type, taxonomy or field group in ACF, Secure Custom Fields or Custom Post Type UI
  • Open in Delta Editor is now Open in Delta Front Panel. The Delta Editor is under Delta › Editor
  • The Delta admin has one sidebar item per tab: Agent, Appearance, Site, Editor and Integrations. Page addresses stay the same
  • Reset to defaults is gone from the Abilities page. All on does the same
  • With Soft Navigation on, pages with a contact form load fully, so the form's scripts run
  • Creating or changing forms needs Fluent Forms 6.2.5 or Ninja Forms 3.15. Older versions still show forms
  • Contact form field types follow each plugin and edition. For example, Fluent Forms Free has no phone field and Ninja Forms has no URL field
  • Delta's WooCommerce tools now go through WooCommerce itself, with its own checks and permissions
  • Custom Post Type UI's own checks now apply to Delta's changes, such as reserved names and slugs in use
  • Removed: the UI Editor, the chat editor inside the theme. Its stored AI keys, model settings and chat sessions are deleted when you update
  • Deprecated: Delta's own product and order tools. They keep working until 0.4.0, and your agent should use WooCommerce's own tools
  • For developers: new filters 21press_delta_loop_names, 21press_delta_render_source, 21press_delta_front_panel_tabs and 21press_delta_context_sources. The UI Editor hooks and the script handles of the six contact form shims are removed, and the editor's PHP helpers stay as stubs until 0.4.0

Fixes

  • Updating an ACF, Meta Box, Pods, Custom Post Type UI or Gravity Forms item no longer resets labels, menu position or permalink settings made in the plugin
  • Pods post types and taxonomies get the permalink base and REST API support you asked for
  • Form updates no longer publish a draft form, and Ninja Forms keeps its field IDs, layouts and conditional logic
  • Contact Form 7 forms send from an address on your site's domain, and Contact Form 7's own warnings are shown
  • Ninja Forms forms show their fields when the Layout & Styles add-on is active
  • Ninja Forms keeps a new recipient and subject when fields change in the same update
  • A new post type or taxonomy can no longer take a slug that is in use, such as post, page, product or category
  • Select field options can have a value and a label. Unknown settings now give a warning
  • No more false link warning for a taxonomy placed under its post type, such as books/genre
  • Updating a Meta Box or Pods field group by its ID now changes the right group
  • Saving a Pods template or page under an existing name updates it instead of making a copy
  • Meta Box fields for users and settings pages no longer show up as post field maps
  • Loop item cards are styled again on pages with their own design
  • WooCommerce → Status no longer lists outdated Delta overrides
  • Security: the plugin tools check permissions properly. Since 0.1.0, reading a plugin's details could activate it
  • A refused plugin install says why, for example a plugin that needs a newer PHP
  • A site set back to the starter design tokens is recognised as using them again
Latest

v0.2.5

6 October 2026

New features

  • Map page: your content as a graph, the site map, and the agent's skills, rules and abilities in one picture, with a button to each item
  • Automatic.css integration: your site.css loads after automatic.css, and the agent reads its variables and settings and changes settings with a snapshot taken first
  • SchemaWP integration: SchemaWP's own Automatic.css tools run through Delta as one group, with a snapshot before each change
  • Delta can list and run another plugin's abilities as a group when an integration allows them. Delta's own switches apply to them
  • New get-entry-outline ability returns a page's sections and headings with their sizes, without the page
  • Snapshots carry Automatic.css settings and put them back on restore
  • Design page shows the colours and type of an external design system such as Automatic.css

Improvements

  • List rows and find-post report the size of each entry's content, HTML, CSS and JS, so the agent can plan a read
  • patch-site-assets and set-site-assets accept css and js as short names for siteCss and siteJs
  • Write results collapse repeated warnings into one with a count, and list conditions that were already there apart from new ones
  • Long ability descriptions on the Abilities screen fold behind a Show more link
  • Map stays fast and stable on large sites, and says when it shows only part of a post type
  • Delta no longer loads its design tokens and site.css in the block editor

Fixes

  • WooCommerce's Coming soon mode no longer overrides a font installed in Font Manager
  • The loop fallback template no longer overwrites the page title
  • Dashboard REST calls work with plain permalinks
  • list-orders applies the status filter, and list-tax-rates returns rates when no sort order is given
  • Security: server and query values read by the direct media upload are sanitized. A CI check now runs the security and database sniffs on every change
Latest

  • Delete design tokens you added with the new delete-tokens ability. A backup is taken first
  • Copy one page section, with its CSS, to another page in one step
  • A Claude Desktop tab on Agent Connections, with an extension that works on local sites
  • Font settings: font-display, language subsets and preload
  • Google fonts install only the subsets a page uses, including accented Latin, Greek and Cyrillic

  • Setup steps for Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor and Codex match their current apps
  • Upgrading keeps your installed fonts and connected agents working
  • Section copy handles unquoted attributes and special class names
  • Invalid agent requests return a proper error
Latest

v0.2.2

22 September 2026

New features

  • Stop a running snapshot or restore when a job is stuck, so your site is not locked waiting
  • Saves that add icons you have not installed yet are blocked; icons already in the page still save and show a warning
  • Previews and component saves warn when HTML uses icons that are not on the site yet

Improvements

  • Checking snapshot job status now moves restore and capture forward; abandoned jobs stop after 15 minutes
  • Agents can use common ID field names when updating templates and pages; patch-page and patch-entry are aliases for the same patch helpers
  • Icon catalog calls accept pack or slug; design systems owned by a plugin are recorded correctly when you register them
  • Component matching handles recipes with several root elements more accurately

Fixes

  • Excerpt updates on designed pages save correctly when the native editor gate is on
  • Failed snapshots clean up partial data; you can cancel during restore; busy errors show which job is running
  • The Delta logo in the admin sidebar picks up your theme color on first load
  • Upgrading from v0.2.0 brings back author excerpts that were lost and keeps plugin-owned design systems marked correctly
Latest
