Delta is a WordPress theme operated by an AI agent through MCP, the open standard that connects AI tools to a website. You describe the result in chat, and the agent writes the page as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. There is no page-builder interface. That is a bet on our part: we think an agent that writes plain markup will be a better builder than a visual editor, and Delta is where we test it.
Delta is a hybrid theme. It does not use the block-based Site Editor: layouts, headers, footers, and archives come from Delta templates, which the agent creates and assigns. The block editor remains available for writing. You and your clients can keep drafting posts with blocks, and Delta renders them inside the templates.
Every agent-built page is plain markup with scoped styles, stored with the page itself. A single design system defines the site’s colors, typography, spacing, and components. The agent works from these design tokens rather than adding one-off styles to each page. This site is built the same way, and the design system pages describe what we have learned so far.
