Delta runs on every site in a WordPress multisite network. The license counts each site in the network as one site, so the number of sites that use Delta decides which license you need.
Install Delta on a network
- As the network administrator, upload the release ZIP under Network Admin → Themes → Add New Theme.
- Select Network Enable on Delta, so that each site in the network can use it.
- On each site that uses Delta, open that site’s wp-admin and activate Delta under Appearance → Themes.
- On the same site, open the Delta menu and enter your license key.
Repeat steps 3 and 4 for each site. WordPress makes a theme available to the whole network, but each site activates Delta and its license on its own.
Choose a license for a network
There is no network license. Each site in the network uses one license activation.
| Sites that use Delta | License |
|---|---|
| One site in the network | Single site |
| Two or more sites in the network | Unlimited sites |
Example: a network with a main site and five city sites, each on its own domain, has six sites. If all six use Delta, get the Unlimited sites license. You can upgrade from single site to unlimited at any time.
When a site has no license
If you enter a single-site key on a second site, Freemius rejects it because the license has no free activation. To fix this, upgrade to Unlimited sites, or deactivate the license on the first site in the Freemius User Dashboard.
On a site with no active license:
- The Delta menu shows the license form instead of the Delta dashboard.
- The Cloud Library is not available.
To check a site, open its Delta menu. If you see the Delta dashboard, the license on that site is active.
