Page builders are drawing tools for people. Their canvases, handles, and controls become unnecessary when an agent does the work.
Delta removes that layer. The agent writes HTML, CSS, and JavaScript into WordPress pages and templates, and Delta renders them. WordPress remains the content-management layer, with the block editor available for posts and pages. The only interface is the Agent.
Why plain markup?
We chose plain markup because current models already understand it well. A page builder introduces its own object model and conventions, which the agent must learn before it can work reliably. HTML, CSS, and JavaScript require less translation, with little between the generated markup and the browser.
This gives the agent flexibility in layout composition and makes the work easier to inspect, correct, and continue across sessions. Delta supports this workflow with design systems, skills, rules, and a shared abilities surface.
Design systems
Use Delta’s seed tokens, or supply a design.md, stylesheet, or framework (ACSS, Core Framework and others). Delta applies the system through skills, rules, and validators available in every session.
Plugin compatibility
Delta works with supported plugins rather than replacing them. When a compatible plugin is active, Delta adds abilities for its specific features. Initial integrations cover custom post types and fields, forms, SEO, and WooCommerce.
What ships with v0.1.0
Delta v0.1.0 is an alpha build. This website and its demos were built with the same release.
It includes:
- A template engine with conditions
- WooCommerce support
- Context for skills, rules, and memory
- Plugin-specific abilities
- Compatibility with MCP clients
We do not recommend using this release on production sites until the foundations have stabilized.
What comes next
Upcoming work includes scoped client access, starter sites, custom PHP abilities, broader plugin coverage, and live-page text editing.
